Training

Data protection compliance is only as strong as your weakest link. Within organisations it is business critical that your staff and service providers understand how to handle data in a lawful manner.

Data Protection

Ensuring staff receive the training they need to safeguard personal information as it relates to their role is a requirement under most data privacy laws and can also act as a key selling point when providing services to organizations who want to ensure that you are processing their data securely. For Data Protection Officer in particular, receiving quality training so that they can meet the demands imposed by this role is critical to the successful discharge of the obligations imposed on them as a result of holding such office.

We recognise that training doesn’t just end with compliance, there is also a whole wealth of ways I which data can be lawfully monetised.

Information Rights

When it comes to Information Rights More than 400,000 requests have been made under Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA) and the Environmental Information Regulations 2004 (EIRs) since 2005, making such information access rights a significant demand on the resources of public authorities. As well as requests from members of the public, requests are increasingly being used as a means for journalists, businesses who have made unsuccessful tenders as part of public procurement and vexatious litigants as a means to elicit information for a variety of reasons. Therefore, it is imperative now more than ever that those charged with managing requests understand how to deal with requests, as well as to identify and apply potential exemptions appropriate.
